Important Notes:
- We do not save your images: The converter does not store your images on our servers. Your converted files are downloaded directly to your computer or device.
- Supported Image Formats: The converter supports JPEG, JPG, PNG, BMP, AVIF, WEBP, and GIF formats.
- Black and White Conversion: Only black colors are traced into the SVG, while white areas are made transparent. This ensures the SVG contains no white paths or unnecessary data.
- Threshold Adjustment: Adjust the thresholds carefully to achieve the desired result.
- SVG Quality: The quality of the SVG depends on the original image and the settings you choose. Experiment with the sliders and inputs for the best results!
Instructions for Using the Image to SVG Converter
- Image Upload: Use the file input to upload one or multiple raster images in formats like JPEG, JPG, PNG, BMP, AVIF, WEBP, or GIF. These images will be converted to scalable vector graphics (SVG).
- Convert to SVG Button:
- Once you upload your images, click the "Convert to SVG" button to start the conversion process.
- The SVG file will automatically download to your device after the conversion process is completed.
- You can preview the converted SVG below the converter interface and optionally download it again from the modal window by clicking on the preview.
- Black and White Thresholds:
- The gradient and slider allow you to adjust the range of black and white tones in the conversion.
- Only black colors in the image are converted to paths in the SVG. White areas will remain transparent and are not included as paths in the SVG file.
- If the threshold values are not adjusted correctly, the output SVG might be completely empty (white), with no paths generated. In such cases, adjust the threshold values and try again.
- Custom SVG Name: Enter an optional name for the SVG file. If left blank, a default name will be used.
- Target Image Size: Define the pixel size for the resized image before conversion. Larger sizes preserve more detail but may take longer to process.
- Line Threshold: This controls the smoothing of straight lines. Higher values create smoother, less detailed lines.
- Curve Threshold: Controls the smoothness of curves in the SVG. Higher values simplify curves.
- Path Omit: Removes smaller details from the image. Higher values result in simpler SVG files with fewer details.
- Stroke Width: Sets the width of strokes in the SVG. Adjust this for thicker or thinner outlines.
- Blur Radius: Applies a blur to the image before tracing to smooth rough edges. A higher value creates a more abstract output.
- Converted SVG Preview: After conversion, the SVGs will appear as previews below the converter.
- Click an SVG preview to open it in a modal window.
- Within the modal, you can download the SVG again using the "Download" button.
- Click outside the modal or use the "Close" button to exit the modal view.
- Spinner Indicator: While the conversion is in progress, a spinner will appear next to the "Convert to SVG" button to indicate that the process is running. It will disappear once the conversion is complete and the file download begins.
